Details of 2008 Strawberry Festival:
“Strawberries and Stripes Forever!” is the theme of this year’s 28th Annual Strawberry Festival. Tons of entertainment will follow the parade at strategic points throughout the festival section of town. Some of them include: a Trackless Train ride for the children, a Rock Climbing Wall for the adventurous and a host of musical entertainers. "Pooches on Parade" will once again support local animal shelters.
Plenty of great food and a fantastic array of arts and crafts. Over 150 vendors and artisans will line the streets. Visit the shops in downtown Owego. Our selection of fine restaurants and unique shops are filled with distinctive merchandise and is sometimes referred to as “the best kept secret in the Southern Tier!”
Since the debut of the Owego Strawberry Festival 27 years ago, hundreds of thousands of people have been drawn to downtown Owego to experience the charm of this annual festival. We urge everyone to come early and be ready for a full day of fun and excitement!
