Strawberries and Wine Event- Thursday, June 19, 5:30-8:30 pm. Owego Elks Lodge, 223 Front Street, Owego. A wine and food tasting event with a silent auction and entertainment by "Manhattan Nitelife" to celebrate the 28th Strawberry Festival in Owego with the proceeds benefiting the OA Music Boosters and the Owego Strawberry Festival. Finger Lakes wineries will be featured along with local restaurants in what is sure to be a delightful event!
Advanced tickets are, $20 per person or $30 per couple, at the door are $25 per person or $35 per couple and designated driver tickets are only $10. Friday Night Block Party - June 20, 5:30-10:30 pm. Lake Street and part of Front Street will be blocked from traffic so everyone's invited to celebrate the Kick-Off Night of Strawberry Festival weekend. Stores and restaurants will be open, strawberries will be for sale, enjoy some shortcake, good food, dance to the music and have some fun. Also, coming, Tigger and Pooh, Street Jugglers, Rock Climbing Wall, Cookie the Clown, Outdoor Pig Roast and more! Bring your lawn chairs! Sundaes at the Farm (Free Ice Cream Sundaes) at Moore Farms, Moore Hill Road, Nichols, featuring organic, grass-based dairy, and baby calves. 1:00-4:00 pm. Directions: Rt. 17, Exit 63. Turn toward Lounsbury Truck Stop. Take 1st right on Berry Road. At stop sign, turn left onto Hunt Creek Rd. Go up hill to 4 corners and make a right onto Moore Hill Road. The farm is about one mile on the left. Look for signs.
