Historic Owego Marketplace Presents:

“Strawberry Peace”

The 36th Annual Owego Strawberry Festival will celebrate “Peace” as the theme for this year’s festival. World peace, peace in our country, village, neighborhood, peace at home....?  Living in peace and prosperity is a wish we all share.  Let’s celebrate this idea and borrow some tie-dye and peace signs from the 1960’s and 70’s along with some classic songs provided by our talented musical groups. The youth of that time experienced protest and polarization similar to today and countered the effect by embracing peace and love. The message is the same today and peace will prevail if we all want it to!

Where do you look for it? Some of us find those moments when we do things that we enjoy and find meaning in doing. We hope that you will include the Owego Strawberry Festival situated in the center of Historic downtown Owego along the Susquehanna River as one of those things to enjoy.

Welcome to this year’s Strawberry Festival! We offer something for every member of the family. Our community centered parade will make you and the kids smile. We continue to improve our selection of crafters so you are sure to find that one of a kind keepsake. Come hungry because you will be so sorry if you don’t. With so many delicious choices it is hard to decide. You will find strawberry shortcake on every street so get it before it’s gone! Sit in the North Court House Lawn and watch the puppet show or enjoy activities for kids like face painters, sand art, bicycle stunt shows, pageants, bounce houses and much more.  Enjoy musical entertainment of all types and relax in the inspired atmosphere of downtown Owego. Please join us and don’t forget to wear your tie-dye and peace signs!
